We Speak Lies, We Silence the Truth is a four-minute audiovisual piece that integrates my vocal improvisations with electronic elements created in Ableton Live and Max for Live. The audio is synchronised with dynamic visuals generated in Cinema 4D, creating an immersive experience in which sound and imagery respond to and complement each other.

The title later became the name of the first movement of Echopraxia, and the two share a concern: the gap between what a mouth does and what it means. Here the voice never says a word — it improvises in phonemes, breath and half-formed syllables — and the visuals, cold geometric forms that assemble and shatter in time with it, keep proposing meanings the sound refuses to confirm. Lies are spoken fluently; the truth is what is left out.

It is a short piece and a kind of study: the first time I let a generated image listen to my voice rather than illustrate it.
