Bio
Eda Er is a composer, new media artist, and vocalist working in embodied technofeminism. She builds responsive instruments from voice, material practice, and computation, most recently a live augmented instrument made from the Turkish marbling tray, and performs them herself.
A PhD candidate at the University of California, Berkeley (CNMAT / BCNM), she is the 2025–26 George Ladd Prix de Paris Fellow and 2025–27 Visiting Doctoral Researcher at the University of Strasbourg and the Conservatoire de Strasbourg (CRR). Her current project, Fluid Narratives, rebuilds Turkish marbling (ebru) as a live augmented instrument for live composition.
